Belaku Sewa Samsthe Charitable Trust (R), a non-profit organisation is dedicated to serve the society from 2014.
It was in February 2013, a thought of giving something to the society came to our mind and it became incredibly strong on 25th December 2013 when our thoughts took a shape and we decided to render social service.
The areas of social service activities that came across are helping children to get basic education, joining the children who have discontinued studies to the main stream of education, conducting awareness program on the importance of education in rural areas, organising medical camps to provide free health care benefits, supporting disabled people, blood donation camps and even we thought of more sensitive areas like orphanages and foster homes where we usually meet emotionally disturbed section of society.
To know more about building a social service centre we met resource persons serving at District Rehabilitation centre, Mysore. It was on 26th December 2013, we got a clear picture of how we have to move further.
The first step of our dream realised when we came in contact with “Chinnara Chiguru Charitable and educational Trust” which takes care of physically challenged children. With opinion of every member of our team we decided and started giving support to this trust as volunteers’. That’s our journey of giving something to society from where we are expect a lot has started.
Later on 28th December 2013, our team collected information required from Aashayein Foundation (Mysore Chapter) to have our own non-profit organisation, where our only motto is serving people in need. We started to focus on monitoring health of children at one or more orphanages at Mysore by providing regular free medical check up by our doctors.
We tentatively named our trust as “Belaku Social Service” to put all efforts to join hands with “Chinnara Chiguru Charitable and educational Trust” to provide service to disabled children on 9th February, 2014. A physiotherapist from our team gave his service to the children in need.
9th February, 2014 is a memorable day for us because it was this day our dream of social service started to flow through an inauguration ceremony at Mandkally village. We named ourselves as Belaku Sewa Samsthe. By this time we were clear about why we have started this organisation. We strongly committed ourselves to increase awareness in health among people and work united to fulfil the motto of our trust.
“Belaku Vaathsalya Dhama”, an organisation which takes care of old orphan women is the next place where we got opportunity to serve. Our trust decided to organise free health check up once in every month. From 11th May 2014, a physician from our trust visits “Belaku Vaathsalya Dhama” to offer service.
On 23rd June 2014, our trust formally got registered under rules of government of Karnataka. Our trust was officially named as “Belaku Sewa Samsthe Charitable Trust”.
On the occasion of 69th Independence Day of India, i.e., on 17th August 2014, our trust in cooperation with K.R Hospital Doctors and staff screened 102 members for eye diseases and had free health check up also. We feel proud to share the fact that among them 8 patients underwent free cataract eye surgery and got back their eye sight.
Very recently on 25th January 2015 on the occasion of 66th Republic Day of India, our trust decided to organise a blood donation camp at Kadkola. 31 good hearted people donated their blood to save the life of someone and made us successful.
Thus our journey of rendering service to the society is going on, we would like you to support us and join hands to serve the society and there by lead our country to progress.
Health is Wealth – is the motto of our “Belaku Sewa Samsthe Charitable Trust”.
There is nothing in our life that is more valuable than good health. Without health there is no happiness, no peace and no success. A person with bad health cannot enjoy the pleasure of being wealthy.
Health is more valuable than money. Money cannot buy health and happiness.
But a healthy person remains in a state of bliss and happiness.
Let us all join hands together to serve the society and thereby to lead our country to progress.
“It is health which is real wealth, and not pieces of gold and silver”
-Mahatma Gandhi
